Farming For Nature Awards Ceremony
This year we had the honour to be nominated for the 2020 ‘Farming for Nature Awards’ based off our recent efforts to promote biodiversity throughout the farm.
The judging panel inspected the newly planted native forestry along with the fenced off water courses. The main river on the farm, which has been fenced off for over 10 years has seen massive shifts from bare muddy banks to swaths of alder, ash and willow. We are now starting to witness the rewards for our efforts with the return of the kingfisher to our river!
We were delighted when the judging panel awarded us with as one of the national farming for nature ambassadors 2020. A short video was made on the farm (which can be viewed below), and we received a lovely little oak tree to mark our success!
