Creative Arts Therapies Info

Soearth Projects provide a creative arts therapy service for children, adolescents and adults. These include modalities in Art Psychotherapy and Music Therapy.  We currently have six independent creative arts therapists working at our service. Therapists are IACAT accredited and have undergone master’s level training.

Our practice is surrounded by natural beauty. The influence of nature establishes a mindful and stress free environment for all. Therapists typically integrate eco-therapy approaches into their work with clients.

We are available to take GP, agency and self referrals. If you would like to find out more about creative arts therapies and the available services on offer please contact via contact button below.

Our Covid guidelines adhere to HSE recommendations. Our individual therapy rooms provide a nurturing, safe and private experience for both therapist and client.

Mental Health: Why Creative Arts Therapies?

When we experience difficulties and find we need support, we are told to work this out through talking. However, sometimes it is too difficult to verbalise or even identify how we feel through words alone. A creative approach found in arts therapies through art, music or drama helps us communicate, externalise and make sense of presenting experiences. Engaging with a creative process in therapy can help build self-awareness, foster self-development, enable solutions and relieve, regulate and combat mental illness or concerns.

In creative arts therapies the client and therapist work together to process and work-through presenting difficulties. This is facilitated in a respectful, person centred and non-coercive manner.

It introduces the therapists at Soearth and overviews Creative Arts Therapy.

This introductory video demonstrates key principles of Art Psychotherapy. The video brings us through the sensory, visual and symbolic aspects found in Art Psychotherapy.

This immersive film illustrates a series of creative processes made available in Art Psychotherapy. In this video images are created as separate artworks and run in sequence to audible internal dialogue. This demonstrates connections and communications made when using art mediums and the creative process.
